Alannah Rose Wedding – Heather And Jed {embellish wedding invitation}
alannah rose weddings, weddingsWe’ve always admired the work of Australian couture bridal designer Karen Willis Holmes so we were thrilled today to discover one of our couples, Heather & Jed, had their wedding featured on their blog today!
Heather and Jed married at Broken Head (near Byron Bay) on April 25th this year. The couple were inspired by our Embellish Invitation Suite for their wedding day and for their beachside ceremony used elegant floral arrangements form Beautiflora and shades of blue, green and brown.
Heather looked stunning in the Karen Willis Holmes ‘Sharon’ gown accessorized with a handmade cabbage rose corsage, her bridesmaids wore Harvey & Ella while Jed accessorized his gray suit with a smart green & white striped tie.
The couple celebrated with guests at a nearby beach house feasting on a Moroccan style banquet catered by based Eat Drink Catering.
Congratulations Heather & Jed! You make such beautiful newlyweds and were a joy to work with! x

The {Royal} Wedding
inspiration boards, weddingsAfter the news of the royal engagement, we thought we might try our hand (along with the rest of the world) at predicting what Prince William and Kate Middleton’s might be like! Luckily we had our Crown Jewel Invitation ready and waiting!
For Kate & Will, we went for something rather traditional (drawing inspiration from that sapphire engagement ring!) but with a modern twist to reflect the couple’s style.
Sunday Find {a michipedia of fashion}
life, sunday finds, the restI posted a while ago about Michi Girls first Book ‘Like I give a Frock’ so I’m excited to share with you today the news that it’s companion ‘What on Earth are you Wearing‘ has just been released. Just in time for Christmas, this little book is a perfect gift for your girlfriends, bridesmaids, sisters or even yourself. Michi’s take on fashion is hilariously funny and the illustrations divine. Get it at Michi’s online shop here, or selected booksellers.
Golden {swirls and twirls}
alannah rose new designs, inspiration boards, weddingsTo celebrate our brand new Swirls and Twirls wedding invitations (as seen in Real Weddings magazine), we’ve created an inspiration board in vintage golds and blacks.
The design, while sophisticated in nature, has an elegance to it – one that is wonderfully reflected in the oh so chic bride, her designer cake and the unexpected headpiece. Further whimsical touches are added through casual coloured glassware and sparklers – of course an amazing pair of shoes that echo the wedding invitation design can’t hurt either!

Pilar and Oliver Feature In {real weddings style}
alannah rose weddings, media and pressWe were delighted to see one of our Sweet Art couples, Pilar and Oliver have their wedding featured in the latest Real Weddings Style Magazine.
Pilar and Oliver chose our Alannah Rose Le Boutique wedding stationery collection in black and white. The wedding took on a Spanish flair- a nod to Pilar’s heritage and included fun touches like Spanish fans, Spanish style ruffles on Pilar’s gown and even a Spanish mantilla which Pilar had fallen in love with ten years earlier and saved for her special day.

Sunday Find {A Vintage Affair}

Sunday Find ~ In {theme} And For The Boys
sunday finds, weddingsI thought I’d keep today’s find in keeping with our black and white week and also given that most of the things I blog about are for the girls or children, I’d share something this time for the boys!
So today I found these great bicycle cufflinks from the The Cufflink Maker. I think they are super sweet, and what a perfect and quirky way to theme the men in your wedding party with our Bicycle for Two wedding invitations.
Also check out the Best Man Cufflinks below. The Cufflink Maker also custom make, so if you can’t find the image you’re after send them through a picture and they’ll make them up!
Happy Sunday All

Something Old, {Something New}
alannah rose new designs, weddingsWe love tradition at Alannah Rose Stationery and there’s one in particular that always holds a soft spot in our hearts!
Something old, something new
Something borrowed, something blue
And a silver sixpence in her shoe.
There are so many unique ways you can incorporate the “somethings” into your wedding day, here’s some ideas we came up with and a special new treat from our online store!
Something Old... Symbolising the connection with the bride’s past
I wore my grandmother’s lace handkerchief.
Something New... Symbolising the hope of the future
I wore my brand new wedding gown.
Something Borrowed.. Representing the good fortune of an already married family member
I borrowed a friend’s vintage bracelet for my wedding day.
Something Blue… Symbolizing love and fidelity
With our struggle to find you the perfect something blue (I tied my Nan’s sapphire ring to my bouquet), we came up with our own.. the brand new Alannah Rose Something Blue Pocket Mirror.
We designed it to be sweet and functional with subtle blue polka dots and a handy clear mirror for makeup touch ups throughout the day. It comes in a muslin bag but can be easily slipped into a pocket or your perfectly planned bridal clutch on your wedding day!
Sunday Find {a ghostly recipe}
parties, sunday finds, the restGiven it’s Halloween I thought today’s find should be on theme. I found this sweet recipe for Ghost Cupcakes on Kaboose, they look easy to make and would look super for a spooky themed party too!
