We’ve got so much happening at Alannah Rose at the moment, stay tuned for some exciting news! I’ve been so busy I almost forgot to post this!
Issue 14 of Wedding style guide is on the stands at the moment, and as usual it is full of gorgeous gorgeous goodies. My favorite story Think Pink, features our gorgeous Sweet Shoppe wedding invitations and stationery (perhaps a little bias I know!). But the styling, the striped ribbon, the flowers the cake, they all work together so effortlessly. Love it. Thanks so much Style Guide for asking me to be a part of this issue.
We’ve got a few other pieces in the issue, our gorgeous Oh Dahlia wedding invitation and Le Boutique striped invitation in Avocado green feature in the gorgeous mood board below, and you’ll also find our new sweet serenade wedding invitation on page 84.
For all the gorgeous details, pick up Wedding Style Guide magazine at the local newsagent. xx

I talk a lot about the business side of things at Alannah Rose, but today I thought I’d share something on a more personal level.
Some of you know we’ve been renovating for a couple of years now, it’s not been an easy task, with two small children under feet and a fast growing business! Many a day has been spent navigating around my husbands projects or occupying the children so he can get on with the task at hand. On saying that, we’ve loved every minute of it, and have enjoyed watching a green and yellow (yes!) 60’s house transform into a loved family home.
When the Herald Sun contacted me and asked if they could run a renovation story on us we were thrilled, the results were published in last weeks Herald Sun Saturday Home Magazine lift out, images below.
Our house is by no means finished, we’ve still got bedrooms, bathrooms, and a play room to go and there’s still furniture that needs updating and so on – but isn’t that part of the journey of owning a home? We’re currently working on the main bedroom and a cubby house for the girls which is almost complete – watch this space! xx

This weeks Ok! magazine has a celebrity wedding feature, we are more than a little excited that our stunning Le Boutique wedding invitation was featured in an inspiration board for the wedding of Anna Paquin! (we love Anna!) Thanks so much Ok! for including us. x
One of the best things about my job is that I can design things that I love. One of my favorite designs at the moment is Love Light – it’s such a simple and classic design – modern, romantic and glamorous – all rolled into one. So I was particularly thrilled to see the images of Fiona and Mark’s Love Light themed wedding in the current issue of Style Guide. Fiona, owner of wedding planning business Couture Wedding Planning wanted to create a classic Hollywood glamour theme for her wedding, the results below show she achieved just that.
Fiona and Mark were married at St Thomas in North Sydney followed by a cocktail cruise around the harbour and reception on the top floor of Star City in the Astral Restaurant.
Above: A classic black and white theme featured in the wedding, from the bridesmaids and groomsmens attire through to the black sash on Fiona’s Mark Holt gown. Flowers by Maria Lush. Grooms suit by Matthew Lawrence Bespoke.
Above: Reception tables were set with black candelabra, mirrored vases and crystals to complement the chandelier motif on the Alannah Rose Love Light wedding menus and place cards. A stunning cake by Faye Cahill was created to co-ordinate with the Alannah Rose Love Light wedding invitations and stationery.

Congratulations Fiona and Mark, thanks so much for sharing your beautiful wedding day with us!

For those that don’t know, aside from running Alannah Rose and raising two gorgeous girls, we are in the middle of a big renovation (read: five year project), and that I’m addicted, ok maybe obsessed with home magazines at the moment. I subscribe to a lot – possibly all – and Real Living is one of my faves, lots of images to pour over, places on where to find them and homes to drool over. So you can imagine how thrilled I was to find not only our one little lala bird gift tags and invites mentioned on page 90 of the November issue, but also to have such a gorgeous big shot of my little girl holding them! (that’s her top left).
Proud mum xx
Thanks so much Real Living Magazine!

Today I’m excited to share with you the gorgeous wedding of Deonne & Jefri, photographed by the fabulous team at SugarLove Weddings.
Deonne and Jefri were married on the 14th March 2009 at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Melbourne, followed by a sit down reception in The Langham’s Alto Room.
Their colour scheme of black and white was based around their wedding invitations and stationery – our gorgeous Le Boutique collection.
“I chose the theme because the invites we chose were black and white and reminded me of a classic French perfume bottle” says Deonne
Deonne’s gown by Annette of Melbourne Couture was made of silk chiffon and encrusted with Swarovski crystals, offset by an elegant silver cuff by Stephanie Brown. Deonne’s posy by Whitemoss florists consisted of gorgeous David Austen roses, green rose buds and black ivy berries.
The bridal party arrrived in convertible black mustangs from MIB – Mustangs in Black, with the bridesmaids dressed in elegant black dresses by Nicolangela.
“I chose black bridesmaid dresses as the colour went with my theme and was really flattering on both girls” says Deonne.
The bridesmaids posy’s also by Whitemoss were made up of bright green molluca balm, a striking contrast to the black dresses.
The stunning decor of Melbourne’s Langham hotel set the backdrop, whilst classic black and white touches, including our Le Boutique place cards were offset by green molluca balm in black pots, styled by Deonne and her sister to finish off the theme.
The bridal party headed to the city and to the gorgeous block arcade for more photography with Sugarlove Weddings.
The men’s attire, inspired by the Beatles, one of the couples favourite bands, from Jack London.
More details on Deonne & Jefri’s wedding can be found in the current issue of Bride to Be magazine.
All photography by SugarLove Weddings.
Congratulations Deonne & Jefri xx
