Golden {bows}
inspiration boards, weddingsI’m on a bit of a black tie kick lately- something about these designs is all about formality. The elegance of a beautiful gown with a black bow tie, floor length gowns, plenty of champagne and wedding traditions. Our Bow Tie Wedding Invitation, with it’s name and sleek black and cream colour palette fits my mood perfectly today!

Sunday Find {please stand up}
parties, sunday finds, the rest, weddingsI think I admitted a few weeks ago that I’ve got a little ‘thing’ for cake stands… I found a stunning range at Sharnel Dollar Designs, and now I have discovered more!
Talented Australian stylist, photographer and dessert queen Tracey Lau has just started selling these gorgeous ribbon cake stands. The minute I saw them, I snapped them up – I can’t tell you how much I love them, and for how long I’ve searched for an Australian stockist of these! This week, I threaded red and white ribbon through them and made little chocolate pudding cupcakes for Christmas, so sweet.
And just today via Hostess with the Mostess, I’ve stumbled across Sweet and Saucy Supply – dare I say it – cake stand heaven! They have one of the largest ranges I’ve seen available online, at very reasonable prices. Have a look at these gorgeous pink hobnail stands. Their catch cry “Beautiful stands – oh my!” pretty much sums it up.
Sweet & Saucy also just recently styled Myley Cyrus’ 18th Birthday Party, a stunning dessert table based around a dream catcher theme – be sure to visit their blog for the rest of the eye candy.
Have a lovely Sunday all – only 6 sleeps until Christmas.
Blue {style}
media and pressWe were very thrilled to spot two of our blue items in the brand new issue of Wedding Style Guide magazine!
The lovely girls at Wedding Style Guide featured our “Something Blue” pocket mirror in their blue vintage theme idea page and our Rose Tapestry invitation in custom blue (along with some stationery tricks from us to help you style your wedding!) We love the blue and white colour scheme, it’s fresh and can be styled with a vintage flair or a modern, fresh look!
Alannah Rose Wedding ~ Camilla and Mark {vintage night invitation} Part 2
alannah rose weddings, weddingsAs promised! More beautiful images from the wedding of Camilla and Mark!
Sails Restaurant, Noosa Heads was the location for the couple’s evening celebration with their guests.
Above: Floral arrangements by A Sculpted Leaf. When we asked Camilla her #1 tip for brides, she said “Don’t bother getting disposable cameras for the tables. Guests will take enough photos for you and they will be much better quality.“
Above: The couple ordered matching table numbers & place cards while Camilla also made a table seating plan, napkin decorations and favor tags to match. “So many people have commented that the wedding was one of the most beautiful they have seen and that the details really made it special. Your amazing stationary made up most of the little details and the fact that it carried on through from the initial invitations to the ceremony and the reception was something many guests commented positively on.”
Alannah Rose also created the matching patterned paper that was incorporated into the delicious cake tiers by Cake Conversations.
Thanks so much Camilla and Mark for sharing your delightful wedding day with us! We are so honoured to have been a part of such a beautiful day xx
Alannah Rose Wedding ~ Camilla and Mark {vintage night invitation} Part 1
alannah rose weddings, weddingsToday’s real wedding is the elegant & sophisticated celebration of our beautiful clients Camilla and Mark who married on the 18th of October 2009 in Noosa, Queensland.
The relaxed outdoor feel of Camilla and Mark’s wedding fit right into the Noosa culture- the sun was shining and amidst all of our couple’s special touches, a momentous occasion was celebrated. What fun!
Camilla and Mark chose our Vintage Night invitation in custom latte- they also chose our complimentary stationery suite and used the delicate swirls and soft colours as the basis of their wedding theme! Camilla recounts “Not only did we have Alannah Rose Save The Dates, Invitations, Guest Info Cards, RSVP postcards, Place Cards, Table Names, Order of Service Books and Thank you cards but we incorporated the same colour and design throughout the whole wedding“
There are so many beautiful photos of today’s wedding I can’t fit them into one post!
Above: Our Vintage Night invitation in custom latte to compliment the elegant mood of their wedding. “The stationery had a big part in creating the theme and the style of the wedding. We had the same colours and design through from the Save the Dates to the decor at the ceremony and reception and then the Thank You cards.” says Camilla “The stationery helped create the finer details that made our wedding such a stand out.”
Camilla chose an elegant strapless ball gown from Mariana Hardwick while her bridesmaids wore gowns in shades of white from Ultra Suite.
Above: Our newlyweds were married at Hidden Grove just outside Noosa
“One of my favourite parts of the day was walking through the trees near the beach to a clearing where the ceremony was set up. The area had been decorated beautifully with crystals and ribbons with roses hanging from the trees, the ground was a sea of white rose petals and the anticipation of seeing my husband-to-be was overwhelming. It was surreal like a dream and although I was very emotional the scene before me took my breath away. I cried the whole way down the aisle, my husband shed a few tears watching me and I’m pretty sure all the guests were crying too. It was very heartfelt.” recalls Camilla.
Bella of Bella Designs & Imagery captured the special moments of the wedding day.
The colours of Camilla and Mark were echoed throughout the wedding with Camilla making a welcome board featuring their stationery design and even printing the wedding vows onto matching paper. The couple also ordered co-ordinating order of service books in our Hollywood Glamour design as an added touch.
To be continued…. more of Camilla and Mark’s beautiful Noosa wedding coming this afternoon xx
{opulent} Orchid
inspiration boards, weddingsPlaying off the brown and yellow in our Orchid Belle Wedding Invitation is a fresh idea- normally it’s black and yellow or even grey. The brown earthy tones of the orchids mixed with the smart pinstripe of the yellow background make for a classic wedding with an unusual colour twist.
Think classic shapes with little twists- classic block candles in shades of brown, white and yellow, yellow ballet flats and classic style wedding cakes with a chocolate cocoa twist.
