I’ve got a beautiful wedding to share with you today. There’s so much love and joy here and I’m in love with Hayley’s divine Anna Campbell gown!
Hayley and Ben’s wedding was held in December at the picturesque Tumbling Waters Retreat, NSW, They chose a vintage and pastel theme which was perfectly complimented by our Lemon Sorbet wedding invitation. The sweet lemon colour was carried through with hints of lemon on the day combined with other pastel pretties.
“I loved my wedding invites by Alannah Rose. I went for a simple double sided invite in a pastel yellow vintage style and they arrived quickly. One of my bridesmaids framed my invite with a speech and marriage poem which was lovely.”
Hayley wore a stunning vintage style lace dress by Anna Campbell. The bridesmaids wore a dusty pastel pink maxi dress with the boys matching in pastel pink ties.
” I loved my dress from the moment I saw it on the Knot web site. I looked it up and found that the designer Anna Campbell was in Melbourne. I tried on a lot of dresses but could not get this dress out of my head, so I went to Melbourne, had my first fitting, then 5 months later went back for my last fitting and took it home. They pretty much hand made it while I was wearing it. They were very helpful, and I would highly recommend them to people looking for simple, elegant, lace vintage dress at a reasonable price.” says Hayley
Anna Blackman captured the gorgeous images of the day.
“Our venue Tumbling Waters, was amazing with breath taking views. I fell in love with it immediately as I really wanted a garden wedding with wow factor.” says Hayley.
“My favorite part of the day was finally getting down the aisle, seeing Ben and saying our vows, oh and the kiss! Everyone said it looked like I ran down the aisle, mostly because I was just so nervous. The party was so much fun! lots of dancing to our favorite tunes which we had made all the CDs ourselves.”
Hayley and Ben wanted to include everyone special in their day, so even their dog Indie was included.
“My other favorite part of the day was seeing my dog indie at the ceremony, my Mum walked her down the aisle. People said I was crazy but we love her and it would not have been the same without her”. says Hayley.
Love was also a key theme for the day, with many items being sourced from suppliers on Etsy.
“Morgann Hill was my main supplier. I got these cute wooden love heart magnets with different love sayings on them as little gifts for the guests. A beautiful burlap sack ring bearer cushion with silk pastel roses and a wooden love heart with our initials on it. Two wooden birds that had love birds written on them as cake toppers. A wooden engraved guest book. I was very happy with Morgann Hill products and they arrived quickly.” Hayley says.
“My tip for brides is to not let any one rain on your parade – whether it be friends who can not make it or girl friends being angry at you for not having them as bridesmaids or family being upset at you for not inviting other family members or venues being difficult. The day belongs to you and your partner and trust me it will go so quickly. Try not to get overwhelmed and stressed. Plan ahead, shop around and be organized. Enjoy the wedding planning process. And look forward to spending your future with the love of your life.” says Hayley.
Congratulations Hayley and Ben, thank you for letting us be a part of your day and for sharing your tips and advice with our readers.
