This season we’re loving all things colourful and retro. I’ve always been a bit of traditionalist when it comes to colour (think black and white), so I’ve had a lot of fun with our new range coming to the store soon ~ The Retro Pop collection.

Retro Pop is all about boldness and colour. Think happy, fun celebrations with a modern twist. Change the colours of the designs from any on our colour chart or revert back to black and white – it does after all, never go out of style!

Our Butterfly Flutterby wedding invitation is perfect for a fun, summer wedding with it’s fresh citrus tones. Fun touches like signature cocktails, a bold necklace, a bowtie and bouquet of butterflies add to the summer garden party festivities.

I love the colour combination of our Modern Retro wedding invitation design, even though we’ve made it in other colours, the original yellow and grey has such a freshness to it. For today’s wedding inspiration I dreamt of a wedding with sleek lines- a stylish bride in a no-fuss hollywood glamour gown, an unusual bouquet in a bright spot of yellow, sexy shoes and clean and modern decorations like this ghost chair.

Playing off the brown and yellow in our Orchid Belle Wedding Invitation is a fresh idea- normally it’s black and yellow or even grey. The brown earthy tones of the orchids mixed with the smart pinstripe of the yellow background make for a classic wedding with an unusual colour twist.

Think classic shapes with little twists- classic block candles in shades of brown, white and yellow, yellow ballet flats and classic style wedding cakes with a chocolate cocoa twist.

We’re swooning over The Knot Australia’s premiere launch issue and we’re particularly thrilled to see our stationery gracing the glossy pages! Our Bella Blue Invitation made an appearance as  “Formal Yet Funky and our Turquoise Butterfly Garden Invitation made an appearance as “Spring Garden Motif Invitation” in the  “Vivid Stationery” feature.

If you look closely you’ll also spy our ‘Lemon Sorbet’ invitation and our “Botanica Belle” Invitation in the “Colour Combos 101″ feature!

There’s nothing that says a frangipani (or plumeria for our state side friends) styled wedding has to be filled with lots of bright colours and typical tropical fair .

How about turning the beautiful tropical flower into an elegant occasion? Stick to yellow and white and mix bold shapes with sophisticated treats like lemon macarons and beautiful cocktails.
