Today’s client wedding is the gorgeous summer time celebration of Lexi and Will. Lexi and Will held their wedding outside Canberra in November last year and used the Alannah Rose Lime Tapestry wedding invitation suite to begin their day! Today’s wedding will be in two parts- there are so many lovely photos to show!

“I’d describe our wedding as Springtime Shabby Chic - we carried the colours of spring green, latte, ivory and soft pastels throughout the wedding, with eclectic and sweet touches.” says Lexi. The couple were married at ‘Grazing’, Gundaroo NSW “The ceremony was held in the gardens with the reception in the stone stable/garden marquee”

For her wedding day, Lexi wore a Demetrios dress purchased from Nouveau Riche,. She chose Alan Pinkus shoes as her “Something Blue”. “I loved seeing the smile on my soon to be husbands face as I walked down the aisle, and a moment we stole alone during our location photos, where we finally had a moment to stop and say “wow, we really did this.. we’re married!“”

“Take a deep breath, don’t let little things trouble you and have fun! The day will pass by so quickly, and weddings filled with smiles and laughter always make the most wonderful memories. Little things may not go 100% according to plan (like the weather!) but in the big picture, it doesn’t matter.”

Couldn’t get enough of the Royal Nuptials last month? Neither could we, so couldn’t help getting in on the act again with our crown jewel invitation, this time in soft pink but with traditional, regal inspiration.

To me, The Alannah Rose Sweet Shoppe wedding invitation has always been traditional with a touch of retro glamour- the stripes add a little something special. Classic elements like a beautiful silk tie or clean white bouquet can have stripey details. Add a buffet full of white treats and sweet pink bridesmaids gowns to make it doubly delicious.

Our Bicycle Built For Two wedding invitation always helps me imagine a wedding full of whimsical fun details- short gowns, trays and trays of sweet treats like fairy floss and pink lamingtons and little details like peppermint striped paper straws. Hop on a bicycle and ride away with your new husband with a bouquet and sunglasses and ride off into the sunset. Simply the sweetest way to spend a weekend.

Today’s wedding, centered around our Sweet Serenade Wedding Invitation is a classic one. Pearls, beautiful fluffy bouquets and the soft touches of pinks. Classic elegance never goes out of style with accents like silver candlesticks and simple, textured white cakes.

I love the colour combination of our Modern Retro wedding invitation design, even though we’ve made it in other colours, the original yellow and grey has such a freshness to it. For today’s wedding inspiration I dreamt of a wedding with sleek lines- a stylish bride in a no-fuss hollywood glamour gown, an unusual bouquet in a bright spot of yellow, sexy shoes and clean and modern decorations like this ghost chair.

Simply sweet is a garden wedding based on our new  Rose Kiss Wedding invitation. Shades of peach, pink and cream give a big old fashioned feel to the wedding which is classic and romantic.

The Alannah Rose Chocolate Box wedding invitation holds a special place in my heart- it was one of our first designs and I believe it stands the test of time! It brings together the elegant stripes, a flair of vintage lace and one of my favourite colour combinations- brown and blue. Today’s board is the elegant classic take on this style- classic chocolate cakes (but with a twist of cocoa monograms), a classic ballgown (with sweet butterflies attached) a classic bouquet (with beautiful blue ribbon) and a classic pearl necklace (with a sparkling clasp).

Our black and white Le Boutique wedding invitation is still one of my favourite designs. Something about the bold black and white stripes almost turns into a neutral, elegant accent at a wedding.

This wedding inspiration board plays off the stripes, instead of hiding them and is filled with stripey accents, from the groom’s tie to the ribbon around the bouquet and modern shapes (like the black Louis Ghost chair). Sometimes I like to play up the detail!

Amy and Jeremy held their outdoor ceremony at Matilda Bay Reserve under the beautiful big trees. Amy even had the motif from our Hollywood Glamour invitation printed onto the couple’s aisle runner!

After the couple were pronounced as newlyweds, they celebrated with guests in a Villa Kula silk lined marquee organised and styled by one of our favourite wedding planners Cathrin D’Entremont. Amongst centerpieces of pink and cream flowers and an all white candy buffet, the reception featured favors of homemade marmalade in heart shaped jars, Amy and Jeremy used our Hollywood Glamour menu card and Hollywood Glamour seating chart to complete the look.

As we get into the heat of Summer, I’m wistifully dreaming of weddings with green bottles of pimms, strawberries and cream and cucumber sandwiches. They go quite perfectly with our Lime Garden Soiree invitation don’t you think?

Keep the mood casual. Shorter wedding dresses, acoustic musicians and barefoot croquet all fit the bill.
