Today’s beautiful client wedding is of Rachael and Drew. Rachael and Drew have two gorgeous boys which they involved in the wedding celebrations, take a look at little Jonty on is trike – awww!

Rachael and Drew chose our Latte Lace wedding invitations which fitted well with the art deco style of Rachael’s Gown and the Reception venue.

“My favourite part of the day was the ceremony.” says Rachael “We live together with our two boys, so we had our 4 year old ride his trike down the aisle first with the ring cushion in the back tray, (definitely an awww moment for our friends, and a teary one for our parents!) then Drew walked down, and I followed holding Benjamin’s (17 months old) hand. It was beautiful.”

Fr Bob did a great service and had most people laughing and feeling at ease. It was a real family ceremony in that the boys did what they had to do on the official side then they were free to walk around during the service. It was very relaxed and made the guests feel relaxed too. We arrived early and had to wait on the road outside the Church to allow everyone to go in. Even when we got out and were assembling at the entrance, guests were still arriving behind us. The weather was a perfect 20 degrees.” says Rachael

“We put aside the old tradition on not seeing each other before the ceremony and stayed the night before in our suite at the hotel. We had a lovely quiet dinner together in a little restaurant down the road, got to bed early and had a good night sleep. We got dressed together and had fun with it. It really relaxed us. We loved that we got that extra time (in the morning and before the ceremony) by ourselves together, it was our day and we got to enjoy a lot of time to ourselves to soak that up. We also got to have our photos together before the wedding instead of after the ceremony, to allow us extra time to sit in our suite before the reception to gather & refresh ourselves.”

Wedding Inspiration { vintage soft grey }

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

I’ve been sifting through my files this week and found this inspiration board I created as a guest piece for Style Collective a while ago. I still love it, grey is so soft, pretty and warm, brighten it with a touch of yellow and you’ve got a sophisticated and elegant colour palette for your wedding day.

Sunday find ~ green wedding shoes, a photographer and a stylist

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

A confession today. I’ve only just recently figured out how to use google reader. I know. Shocking.

So up until now browsing and keeping up with all the beautiful blogs out there has been a bit of a time consuming process for me, and one to be honest, I haven’t had a lot of time to do. But, now, well it’s so much easier and I’m loving all the fabulous new blogs I can now find and read easily, every day.

This weeks find is Green Wedding Shoes, a gorgeous wedding blog featuring all things wedding. I can’t stop looking at this Circus engagement shoot they’ve featured this week shot by Brandon Kid (who also has a new blog) and styled by Nancy Park of So Happi Together.

How amazing is the typography of the circus props, the colours, the mood, the styling, everything, and what a fabulous way to celebrate and remember your engagement.

Ruffley Goodness

Monday, August 16th, 2010

I’ve only recently discovered Urban Outfitters ship to Australia, and for an ever so cheap price – where have I been? Under a rock? Possibly.
I’m really loving the Waterfall Ruffle series – take a look at this shower curtain….

Shower curtain I hear you say? Well I don’t have any uses for shower curtains, but take a closer look – it could make a gorgeous table skirt for a party – or a backdrop for a photobooth or dessert table, and it comes in lots of beautiful colours. Think outside the square and you’ll find inspiration everywhere.

Sunday Find ~ or A delightful way to spend a Sunday

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

Today I spent a lovely afternoon with the gorgeous Siobhan and Vanessa from Details Details and Prue from Gigi & Lulu at Nest in Albert Park. A perfect way to get together to celebrate and remember Ava.

Nest is a fabulous little hotel, decked out in black and white, with black chandeliers and white bird cages. On Sunday’s they offer a Vintage High Tea – and it’s delightful. The chicken sandwiches and chocolate cake were my favourites, but it was all delicious.

They have a great space perfect for any type of function, including weddings, baby showers and hen’s days. Now just to figure out what function I can have there just to use the space….

And don’t forget, if you’re planning on hosting a Tea Party, you’ll need invitations… head over to the Beauty-Full Collection for the month of August. All invitations in the range have been designed in memory of Ava and are available for $10.00. 100% of the cost going to charity.

Sunday Find ~ A pretty new look for Ms Polkadot

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

Many of you I’m sure are familiar with Polkadotbride, she is of course one of Australia’s most loved wedding bloggers, or dare I say it, THE wedding blogger of Australia, so if you’ve been planning your wedding for a while then it’s without a doubt you’ve already been on her site and know how fabulous she is. For those that haven’t, well – visit her now!

I’ve been a fan of Ms Polka’s blog since way back in 2007 when she first arrived on the blogosphere. I love her musings, her inspiration boards and her down to earth honesty and ethics. She has given Alannah Rose so much support over the years and I count her as a special friend and mentor in the wedding industry.

So it’s with much excitement that today’s find is the NEW LOOK Polkadot Bride. Just launched on Friday, Ms Polka has a fresh new look, she’s prettier than ever and there’s loads more inspiration, ideas and sections to pour over (polkadot groom, polkadot honeymoons) and a fabulous personalised section where you can save your favourite posts, which I LOVE.

Please head on over and take a look, and don’t forget to tell her I said hi!

Sunday Find ~ In theme and for the boys

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

I thought I’d keep today’s find in keeping with our black and white week and also given that most of the things I blog about are for the girls or children, I’d share something this time for the boys!

So today I found these great bicycle cufflinks from the The Cufflink Maker. I think they are super sweet, and what a perfect and quirky way to theme the men in your wedding party with our Bicycle for Two wedding invitations.

Client Wedding ~ Vibica & Craig ~ Black and white butterfly garden invitations

Thursday, July 8th, 2010

Following our theme of the week – black and white, I’ve got another lovely real wedding to share today – the beautiful wedding of Vibica and Craig.

Vibica and Craig were married on Saturday 24th October, 2009 with their reception celebration held at The Beach House, Nielsen Park, Vaucluse, Sydney.

We worked with Sweet Art on Vibica and Craig’s wedding to create a beautiful black and white wedding stationery suite using our Butterfly Garden design. Sweet Art created a stunning black and white butterfly garden cake to tie in with the theme.
