Our black and white Le Boutique wedding invitation is still one of my favourite designs. Something about the bold black and white stripes almost turns into a neutral, elegant accent at a wedding.

This wedding inspiration board plays off the stripes, instead of hiding them and is filled with stripey accents, from the groom’s tie to the ribbon around the bouquet and modern shapes (like the black Louis Ghost chair). Sometimes I like to play up the detail!

As we get into the heat of Summer, I’m wistifully dreaming of weddings with green bottles of pimms, strawberries and cream and cucumber sandwiches. They go quite perfectly with our Lime Garden Soiree invitation don’t you think?

Keep the mood casual. Shorter wedding dresses, acoustic musicians and barefoot croquet all fit the bill.

It’s a rare lady that isn’t swayed by the style of a little blue box. Our Tiffany Be Mine Invitation is a nod to our love of all things white and blue. Today I’m inspired by a breakfast celebration to echo the sentiments of a nostalgic era.

There’s nothing quite like fresh blooms for a wedding and our Heavenly Hydrangea invitation is just the ticket for a floral celebration! Soften the black by using lots of different shades of the hydrangea purple, sweet treats and pretty floral details.

I love the combination of pale pink and black. Fancy a bit of style for your day? How about a morning wedding with some beautiful sunshine, a soft colour palette of nude pinks with a contrast of black and soft feminine details- flower fascinators, glass candlesticks and of course- pink shoes!

Red & black- a bold, striking combination that is full of drama and passion. Play it up by embracing the red and black colour palette and using plenty of luscious red roses.

I’m on a bit of a black tie kick lately- something about these designs is all about formality. The elegance of a beautiful gown with a black bow tie, floor length gowns, plenty of champagne and wedding traditions. Our Bow Tie Wedding Invitation, with it’s name and sleek black and cream colour palette fits my mood perfectly today!

Playing off the brown and yellow in our Orchid Belle Wedding Invitation is a fresh idea- normally it’s black and yellow or even grey. The brown earthy tones of the orchids mixed with the smart pinstripe of the yellow background make for a classic wedding with an unusual colour twist.

Think classic shapes with little twists- classic block candles in shades of brown, white and yellow, yellow ballet flats and classic style wedding cakes with a chocolate cocoa twist.

Nothing quite says childhood like an old fashioned carousel- our Take Me To The Fair party invitation conjures up thoughts of fairy floss, ferris wheels and all the naughty food you shouldn’t eat but is so wonderful for little eyes to feast upon!

For little girls, keep your colour palette in soft pastel stripes- lots of pinks, lilacs, soft blues and lemon yellows. Serve your favourite old fashioned treats in carnival style containers and decorate with beautifully created musical carousels.

I love the bold shades of aqua and emerald in our Emerald Gem invitation. Today’s board centers around that boldness- clean, crisp lines, bold shapes with a very urban feel. Little treats like blue glass jars tied with ribbons and filled with candles add an unexpected softness.

When we asked our Facebook “likers” which of our invitations they liked best recently, our friend and stockist of Alannah Rose, Kathryn of Pink Frosting said “Paris” was definitely her favourite.

We love our Paris party invitation, it conjures up so many beautiful parties – today? a French inspired afternoon tea party. Wire replicas of the Eiffel tower gracing the tables, sweet raspberry macaroons, blooming peonies and of course- the finest of tea leaves drunk from our favourite tea pot!
